Guapos restaurant, Brewster, MA, Inspirit

Experience with agency Inspirit was positive.
An agency that is available at all times to its students. Each problem is resolved in the fastest possible time with good results. The accommodation was great, 15 minutes by bike to the restaurant, $ 130 with all the necessary things without boss in the house. They helped me when I had a problem with my doctor's insurance, they solved everything for two days.

Experience with location Brewster, MA was positive.
I spent summer in Brewster in MA, a little place where you can not spend a lot of money on shopping and going out and you can make a lot of money. A tourist place, mostly older family people who come with their families to various recreational activities (the most bike rides in Cape Cod), beautiful beaches that organize night student parties with the fire... mostly all the best about location, and I hope I will be there again next year :)

Experience with employer Guapo's Tortilla Shack was positive.
Hmmm ... what to say ... May 25, 2017. my first working day in the restaurant, the manager (Serb) and I alone... we cook food, he introduces me slowly in my part of job, tells me what my obligations are every day. Everything works great, the manager is our man, however, as the time took off I began to fall into the problems for the managers in which the bosses were full of confidence, in order to be in front of the edge of the cancellation and change of work .. when it was already impossible to run out all the pressures I had to personally turn to the bosses and to try to solve my problem in the restaurant because of our citizen who worked as a manager. After the conversation, the bosses accepted me as their friend and rewarded me with the increase in the salary and giving more working hours hours during the week ... Shortly after my conversation, the manager gets fired and things go for better, everyone is increasing in hours, bosses no longer stay in the restaurant, there are no tensions at work, and always be some party in the evening. :) As for overtime payments, very few employers pay 150%. In Guapos, we had two options, to accept overtime to pay us by hand at a regular hour + and pay off at $ 10, $ 20, or accept that they pay 150% on check. Most of us accepted it on our hands and therefore we had 70+ hours a week, while those who accepted 150% had only promised 32h or 40h. As far as profit is concerned, it all depends on the person to the person, how it is who it is. :) After the program, I continued to contact the bosses and other employees and the bosses expressed their wish to return and next year to be part of their team, which I will do. :)

This review represents personal opinion of Mitar who was participating Work & Travel program in year of 2017 with agency Inspirit, working at Guapo's Tortilla Shack in Brewster, MA.
