    The island is beautiful! Nature is wonderful, especially when you have gone where there are not so many people. The houses are like a fairytale. I've lived in Oak Bluffs, where there was one part of the city near the port where the gingerbread cottages, and small, sweet, colorful house exists. They are, also, one of the main attractions that tourists visit. It is very colorful. It's nice to live on the island, because I could always spend spare time on the beach. I was enjoying in bathing, until the moment when I saw a couple of crab after which it was not so comfortable in the water for me. :) Main Street, Circuit Avenue, is very long and full of different shops where you can buy clothes, jewelry and souvenirs. There's a restaurant, but they are mostly on the main promenade, near the port. The most popular dish on the island is the lobster and seafood in general. Lobster was good, but the sushi is even better. :) Of course, you can eat a good burger. Some of my recommendations would be restaurants Nancy's, Sharky's Cantina, Slice of Life, Fat Ronnie's, Sand Bar & Grille, and if you want good sushi and dessert - the bakery ,,Back Door Donuts''. The island is mostly a tourist and very luxurious. Season begins somewhere with the feast of the 4th of July and lasts until the end of September. And that makes it very special, because people are excited, smiling, (but how could it not be, when you are on vacation in one of the most famous and most beautiful islands in the world), the inhabitants of the island are also friendly and always willing to please tourists. It is well known that President Obama with his family every year goes to Martha. I saw his daughter, then Bruce Willis, I was hostess to Cole, the demon from the series ,,Charm" and I got an autograph from a player of the Red Sox. :) What is interesting is that we, the Serbs, are almost like domestics on the island. There are a lot of us and we have even two Serbian parties during the week, which are always well attended. The law in Massachusetts is that everything can be working until 1AM, so that is why afterparties on the beaches, in forests and houses are the must! :) There are good shops in Oak Bluffs, but the greater choice are in Edgartown, which is very close. If you've never had the chance to see a skunk, go to Martha. They like to walk around at night and they're everywhere. Only at the end of the year I stopped running from them when I see them. :) lt could be useful you to know that they are afraid of applause, but if you're caught in a difficult situation, you'll know what to do. :) During the day you can see squirrels and rabbits. And after a very short time you will feel like you are always on Martha, because you will meet all the locals and you will not be able to walk down the street without pause with some of them to say hello.

    Ostrvo je prelepo i priroda vas ostavlja bez daha. Nije mi se svidelo sto ima previse Srba jer je nekad bilo tesko nauciti engleski. Stanovnici su veoma gostoljubivi, iskreni i ljubazni. Ljudi su uglavnom ljubazni i veoma rado pruzaju pomoc i podrsku.

    Stigla sam 1.juna i drugi posao sam pronasla tek sredinom jula. Bilo je dosta studenata koji su bili na ostrvu i prosle godine, kao i dosta ljudi koji su ostali ilegalno prethodnih godina pa su vec imali i prvi i drugi i treci.

    Ove godine sezona nije bila bas najsjajnija, bar iz moje perspektive, tako da je bilo malo teze naci drugi posao, ali eto, snasli smo se ;-) Inace je meni bilo mnogo bolje na drugom poslu, nego na prvom, ekipa je bila mnoooogo dobra, samo nas troje Srba, svi ostali Ameri, ali nam je bilo vrh.. Tako da, u zavisnosti od sezone, zavisi I lakoca pronalaska posla :-) Ali generalno, ostrvo je divno, plaze su lepe, super atmosfera..

    Mesto je jako lepo i moze dosta da se zaradi. Negativna je strana sto je jako skupo. Smestaj je oko 150$ nedeljno a i hrana je jako skupa. Ima dosta mogucnosti za drugi posao. Meni je prvi posao bio u butiku a drugi mi je bio housekeeping.

    bez problema, turisticko ostrvce i ako nije veliko ima posla na pretek! jedino sto nekome moze da bude problem je sto je to ostrvo pa ako hoce da ode sa njega mora da uzme trajekt za Cape cod

    martini vinogradi su ostrvce ,lepo turisticko mesto u tradicionalnom cape cod stilu jako lepo ,klima jako lepa,plaze jako lepe,puno ljudi ima tokom leta i jedna idila prava

    Mesto je lepo i mirno. Nalazenje dodatnog posla zavisi od sposobnosti osobe koja ga trazi. Nize rangirane poslove je lakse naci. Nocni zivot je bio dobar, jedino sto izlasci traju do 1. Sve u svemu sama Marta je odlicno mesto.

    Velika mogucnost drugog posla. Tamo smo svi radi makar 2 posla. U sezoni (jun-avgust) i po 3.Mesto je super za zaradu ,u slobodno vreme smo isli na plazu. Ostrvo je bezbedno,sto je nama mnogo znacilo,stopa kriminala 0%..

    Kada smo stigli na Martu,u maju,bilo je 13 stepeni ,bas hladno. I u pocetku ,sezona jos nije krenula nismo imali puno posla. Generalno,tamo ne treba ici pre 1.juna.Cim sam dosao ,nasao sam posao ,mada sam i pre polaska slao CV na neke lokacije,koje sam nasao na internetu I to savetujem svima .Drugi posao sam radio kao houseman u hotelu. Sto se tice mesta ,mirno je ,Priroda je lepap pogotovo na zapadnom delu ostrva. ima lepe plaze na kojima smo se skupljali posle posla. Mana je jedino sto ima puno Srba. Nema nocnog zivota ,sem sto smo organizovali srpske zurke nedeljom u lokalu u Edgartown-u. Vreme je lepo,prijatno ,za rad idealno- temepratura oko 25- 30 stepeni,noci malo hladnije. Sve u svemu ,super mesto za zaradu i prica se srpski :)

    Na ostrvu se nalazi puno restorana, hotela, marketa tako da se dodatni posao nalazi bez problema, sto se tice klime, slicna je kao u Srbiji s tim sto temperatura retko kada ide iznad 31,32 °C. Kao najveci problem izdvojio bih smestaj, koji je pre svega jako tesko naci, prosecna cena na nedeljnom nivou iznosi 150$

    Ostrvo je savrseno za ovaj program, dosta mogucnosti za dodatnim poslovima. Mala primedba na smestaj, skuplji je nego u ostatku amerike a nije nekog kvaliteta.

    Mogućnosti ima mnogo, sve zavisi od vaših želja i sposobnosti. Slabije plaćeni poslovi se jako lako pronalaze, u smislu dishwashera i poslova u marketima, dok se za bolje plaćene poslove poput servera i bussera mora potruditi.

    Grad je korektan za drugi posao, ali se moras potruditi. Nece ti ga dati sami. Ja sam zadovoljan, promenio sam 6 poslova, na 4 sam prosao super. Smestaj: Smesten sam u Hostelu koji je u centru grada, zove se Island House i vodi ga neki tamnoputi Will. Sta ja znam, ima i bolje ali za te pare je super. Gomila ljudi bude i promeni se dosta muskaraca i devojaka, pijanke su brutalne samo sutra puca glava od njihovog bezveze alkohola. I sve je blizu ... bukvalno!! Placali smo 125$ nedeljno. MOmak iz agencije nam je mnogo pomogao oko svega toga, neki Damir.

    Ostrvo sa nekoliko gradova u New England stilu, drvene kuce, luke, svetionici... Kilometri i kilometri plaza, veliki broj restorana, prodavnica, hotela i motela. Veoma lako se moze naci drugi posao, pogorovu kad pocne sezona. Smestaj: Postoje dve opcije koje nalazi agencija: 1.Hostel-domski smestaj,nije neki luksuz ali je jeftin u odnosu na ostale smestaje koji se nalaze na ostrvu i nalazi se u samom centru grada Oak Bluffs $100 nedeljno 2.Smestaj u kucama sirom ostrva,veoma kvalitetan ali i cene su dosta velike oko $140 nedeljno
