McDonalds, Minot, North Dakota, Inspirit
Experience with agency Inspirit was neutral.
The visa interview is scheduled very late, changed the date several times, accommodation in USA was not good.
Experience with location Minot, ND was positive.
Minot is a great city, there is no public transport, ie. has from nine to five every hour, so you either walk or go by bicycle (we, the newcomers, Americans do not walk). There is a mall, a couple of cafes, a lot of fast-food restaurants, the zoo, the movies, but it all away. Other work can be quite easy to find. The food is terrible. We had accommodation in a motel, next to which was a pump that works 24/7.
Experience with employer McDonalds
was positive.
Hours: 11
Number of hours per week: 40
Average tip: /
These are all mostly students work on the grill and in the kitchen, sometimes at the front. It is difficult until you get used to it, a lot of students has resigned in the first two weeks. Shifts can be selected (first, second, third), can work 7-8 hours, even getting out and overtime. There is a pause, a half-hour, to give a free meal. Otherwise, all employees have a 50% discount.
This review represents personal opinion of Bogojević Nataša who was participating Work & Travel program in year of 2014 with agency Inspirit, working at McDonalds in Minot, ND.
